Mixed containers and the physics of chipped stone

Logistics

Container shipping

A mixed finishes container is a small architecture of weight. Get the hierarchy wrong and the claim starts at the first swell.

Stone slabs want to be vertical, braced, and nowhere near a carton of basins. Porcelain wants even weight distribution and cartons that do not collapse when the stack is three metres high in a humid hold. Lighting wants cube, not payload, and hates being the crush zone for everything else.

We model payload versus cube before we book the box. We specify corner protection and desiccant for the actual voyage, not the factory’s domestic truck standard. We photograph stuffing and seals. These habits are not dramatic. They are how a trading house earns a second project.
