Who we are / Our values
Values are only useful if they change how a shipment is handled. These four commitments shape how we quote, inspect and communicate.
Architectural finishes are unforgiving. A shade variation that would pass in bulk commodity cement will fail on a hotel corridor. Our culture is therefore closer to a specification desk than to a volume commodity pit.
Every quotation should name product, grade, size, finish, packing and origin with enough precision that a third party could recognise the goods on arrival. We would rather delay a quote than issue an ambiguous one. Shade, calibre, water absorption, slip rating, fire performance and hardware finish are written down, not left to “industry standard”.
A beautiful sample is worthless if the production lot cannot be packed for ocean freight or cannot clear at destination. We plan inspection windows, carton marks, palletisation and document sets as part of the same conversation as price. Common sense is a commercial skill.
Mills, forwarders, surveyors and buyers all have constraints. We are direct about what we can influence and what we cannot. When something is our error, we say so. When a factory cannot hold a finish, we do not pretend otherwise to win an order.
We intend to deepen mill relationships, widen the range of finishes we can stand behind, and become the trading house a project team calls before the specification is frozen. Growth is welcome; overreach is not.
