Sourcing

We source from suppliers across Asia. The aim is not the longest vendor list; it is a short list of mills that can repeat a finish.

Architectural buyers remember the corridor that did not match the sample. Our sourcing discipline is built around that risk. We look at kiln stability, slab selection, glaze labs, anodising lines, timber moisture programmes and the quality of the packing hall — because packing is where many finishes are lost.

What we assess at origin

• Whether the mill can hold shade and calibre across the quantity the project actually needs, not the quantity on a brochure.
• Whether test reports (water absorption, MOR, slip, VOC, salt spray, fire) are current and method-correct for the destination market.
• Whether the factory will accept third-party or buyer-nominated inspection without theatre.
• Whether export packing, palletisation and container loading are part of the production culture or an afterthought.

Growing the map

China remains the deepest pool for ceramic, sanitary ware, hardware and many glass products. Stone processing, timber panels and selected lighting and coating specialities draw on a wider Asian map. When a customer needs a capability we do not yet cover, we investigate rather than force an unfit mill into the file.

To further cater to customers’ needs, we deepen presence with mills that have already earned trust, and we invest time in new origins only when the specification requires it.

Exclusivity and conflict

We do not claim exclusive rights we do not hold. Where a mill already supplies a competitor in a given territory, we say so. Transparency here prevents the worst kind of project surprise — two packages on one site that almost, but not quite, match.
